FDC Financial Services Ltd is proud to offer support to Mallow Search and Rescue to fund their critical mission of helping families across Ireland.

FDC is committed to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the world. Through our FDC Charity Fund, we support a range of charitable causes both locally, nationally and globally. Since our inauguration in 2005, we have donated over €420,000 to various charities, with a focus on supporting programmes that promote sustainable access to food, health and education.

Mick McCormack, pictured above, is the Chair of the Charity Committee and a key member of FDC Financial Services Ltd. Regarding the FDC Charity Fund, Mick explained the format, saying, The FDC Charity Fund is one of several initiatives in evidence within the FDC Group that epitomises our culture and ethos. FDC was conceived with the aims and values of the cooperative movement to the fore and the concept of helping those in greater need is encouraged at all levels. The FDC Charity Fund facilitates the collection of voluntary staff contributions, through payroll, to registered domestic and international charities. A significant part of the voluntary contribution system is the input into decision making conferred on staff members who contribute to the Fund. Each region and department within the Group is entitled to nominate a deserving charity each year that they would like to see benefit from the contributions of staff.

FDC Financial Services Ltd is very engaged in the FDC Charity Fund, boasting exceptional participation rates in the opt in to payroll donations that ultimately make up the foundation of the FDC Charity Fund.

Regarding the exceptional levels of engagement with the FDC Charity Fund, Mick commented saying, “The Financial Services Department has a long history of staff members contributing to the Fund in large numbers. The ability to select charities that may be in the locality or that may have relevance, resonates with our staff. It is always very satisfying to donate funds, unsolicited, to local, worthy charities, which adds greatly to the work they carry out. This was particularly relevant with a recent donation to Mallow Search & Rescue, who were nominated by a Financial Services employee, from the Mallow Area.”
