FDC Charity Fund: LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice
LauraLynn impacts the lives of countless people through acts of kindness that bring hope to those in trying situations.
The recent donation of 1000 euros by FDC Group through the FDC Charity Fund to LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, stands as a testament to its enduring spirit of compassion and community support.
LauraLynn’s history traces back to 1925 when Dr. Ella Webb, a pioneering Dublin pediatrician, recognised the need for a residential setting to provide medical care for children with rickets. With the support of dedicated individuals and voluntary donations, the Children’s Sunshine Home was established, embodying the ethos of caring for disadvantaged children.
Over the years, LauraLynn has evolved, adapting to the changing needs of society while remaining steadfast in its commitment to providing holistic care for children and their families.
“By supporting organisations like LauraLynn, FDC not only enriches the lives of those in need but also fosters a culture of giving within the community.”
From addressing acute medical conditions to offering long-term residential care for children with profound intellectual disabilities, LauraLynn has been a beacon of hope for countless families. In recent years, LauraLynn has expanded its services to focus on family support, symptom management, end-of-life care, and bereavement support.
The donation from the FDC Group reflects its commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
