FDC Agri Consultants are committed to supporting Irish farmers meet the challenges they face in an ever-evolving sector.

We specialise in providing a wide range of agricultural consultancy services to our farming clients on business and technical solutions. Our experienced and diverse team operate throughout our office network delivering front-line solutions to our every increasing client base in all farming sectors.

Our comprehensive range of services include:

  • Basic Payment Scheme

    FDC Agri Consultants are DAFM Farm Advisory Service approved agents for the online completion and submission of the annual BPS application. We also advise on compliance with Greening requirements for tillage farms. We manage the completion and submission of entitlement transactions for leases, sales and gifts. In addition we manage applications for Areas of Natural Constraint (formerly Disadvantaged Area), Young Farmer and National Reserve scheme.

  • TAMS

    We can advise on all the schemes available under the umbrella of TAMS:

    • Dairy Equipment Scheme (DES)
    • Animal Welfare, Safety and Nutrient Storage Scheme (AWNSS)
    • Low Emission Slurry Spreading Equipment Scheme (LESS)
    • Tillage Capital Investment Scheme (TCIS)
    • Pig & Poultry Investment Scheme (PPIS)
    • Organic Capital Investment Scheme (OCIS)
    • Young Farmer Capital Investment Scheme (YFCIS)

    Subject to the maximum expenditure ceilings, grant-aid of 40% is available under these schemes with the exception of the YFCIS where the grant-aid rate rises to 60%.

  • GLAS

    FDC have assisted many clients to access this scheme by discussing the options available and then tailoring their application accordingly. We have completed and submitted applications for clients in GLAS 1, GLAS 2 and GLAS 3 and have also overseen the preparation of the associated Nutrient Management Plans as required.

  • Nitrates Derogation

    This is a facility available to intensive farmers who wish to farm at a stocking rate that is higher than the standard limit.

    We provide a comprehensive service to clients whereby the annual records and Derogation application are prepared and submitted as well the periodical Nutrient Management Plan and soil sampling.

  • Farm Incorporations

    Where a client decides to incorporate their farm trade, important compliance criteria need to be adhered to. FDC Agri Consultants are available to oversee the herd number application, the movement of the entitlements and the application for the BPS. We also advise on any other schemes such as TAMS, where relevant.

    Typically the transition to a limited company can be managed in association with the full complement of FDC Group service providers. We can also liaise with external service providers to secure a smooth transition.

  • Collaborative Farming

    Collaborative arrangements such as Share Farming or Contract Heifer Rearing are also conducted by FDC Agri Consultants. These structures allow for the reduction of workload on one side while providing income stability on the other.

  • Registered Farm Partnerships and Collaborative Farming Arrangements

    FDC have facilitated numerous partnerships comprising several types of partners such as existing farmers, young trained farmers and limited companies. These can be established in order to involve the next generation in the farm business, improve the work-life balance as well as qualifying for improved TAMS grant-aid.

    FDC Group provide a full service offering under one roof or can partner with external service providers.

  • Carbon Navigator

    FDC Agri Consultants are trained Carbon Navigator Advisers and we are approved to compile and submit appraisals under the Beef Genomics Scheme and other schemes where a Carbon Navigator is required.

  • Financial Projections

    FDC Agri Consultants assist clients secure finance through the preparation and provision of historical financial information and future cash flow projections.
